Work Schedule: The work schedule is dependent on projects. In some cases we may ask you to work second shift or overnights. A typical schedule may look like: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Overtime Opportunities
Reporting To: Crew Lead
Location: Based In East Syracuse - You may travel all 48 continental states depending on jobsites / projects
Position Description: As a Flooring Installer, you will be responsible for installing a wide range of flooring materials such as vinyl, tile, carpet tile, and hardwood, involving tasks from site preparation to applying sealants for a secure installation. This role requires precision in measuring and cutting, involves travel to various job sites including out-of-state commercial projects with expenses covered, and emphasizes teamwork for project completion.

Job Responsibilities:

Install various types of flooring materials, including vinyl, tile, carpet tile, and hardwood
Prepare surfaces for installation which may include; moving furniture/objects to clear project area, removing old flooring, leveling subfloors, and applying adhesives or underlayment
Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas using hand tools or power tools
Install flooring materials according to manufacturer instructions and industry standards
Apply caulking or other sealants to ensure a watertight and secure installation
Install fixtures such as baseboards, trim, and transitions to complete the flooring installation
Post installation clean up
Travel to jobsites | drive company van | travel out of state for commercial projects (travel and lodging expenses covered)
Work in a group environment to successfully complete projects

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience as a flooring installer or similar role (Preferred)
Drivers license (Required)
Proficiency in tile laying and hardwood floor installation techniques is preferred but not required (Experience in these roles result in a higher wage)
Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and their installation requirements
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in flooring installation
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues during installations
Physical stamina and ability to lift materials or equipment as needed
